With just a few days left in 2012, it's a great time to look back on all the fashion trends that came and went this year. Some were big hits (like black and white color combos, feminine lace accessories, and bold prints), while others were misses (even though some people loved them, I'll throw caviar manicures on to that list).
Although the world may have still been recovering from a recession, fashionistas across the globe dressed as though opulence and grandeur were the only thoughts on their minds.
From wearing fur (and faux-fur) coats both day and night, to taking a cue from menswear (in tuxedo jackets), to brightly colored shoes and accessories, the past year was all about being bold, daring, and dramatic.
Some trends were so popular (like the ever-feminine and flattering peplum), they became mainstays in fashion. What were some of your favorite fashion trends?
